The Beach

My beach of choice is Kilcunda. It's beautiful with gorgeous winding sandy paths, a trestle bridge, coastal grasses, sand dunes, and a beautiful clean beach.
However, I am happy to travel if you have a favorite beach.

The first decision to make is where you would like to have your family photo session.

Next, we choose a suitable booking day.
We will discuss how you would like to display your family portraits, wall art, albums etc.
I am also available to travel to a destination of your choice.
Step Two - The session fee
We charge a session fee of $99.....
This covers the time and talent to create a gorgeous gallery of photos for you to choose from and a complimentary matted 8x12" printed portrait.
You can book here or give me call and we can lock in a date and time.. I'm often booked months in advance.
Please note the session fee includes a complimentary 8x12" matted print, however, does not include any other products or digital files. For a product pricing guide page see here.
Step Three - Planning
Planning is really important. I'm sure you've already seen my Facebook and Instagram pages. Have a look here (gallery) at the type of portraits we'll produce and for clothing ideas etc.
When we start planning for the session. I will ask if you have any ideas for your photographs or if you'd like to bring any props with you, for example, favorite books, toys, musical instruments, etc.
After booking you will be sent emails and questionnaires full of information on what to expect from your photo experience.
We will also book a phone consultation to plan the session.
I get enormous pleasure from photographing families and I want you to really love and treasure your photos. So have a good look through my products and pricing page to make sure you're happy with the products and pricing, and what I offer.
Your day has finally arrived...
If you're coming to Tonimbuk you will arrive at our property down our dirt road where I will be waiting. Parking is not a problem.
We will walk to various locations near and around the lake and capture a series of both posed and natural portraits. I will direct you however I won't pose you. When you pose people the photos often look forced and unnatural.
I do all of my portraits at 9-10 in the morning or in the evening to catch beautiful soft light and/or the golden hour, I love using beautiful natural light.
Our farm is in Tonimbuk, which is less than an hour from Melbourne.
At the end of the session, we will organize a time for the reveal/ design appointment.
You will also be sent home with a full Product and Pricing guide.
Step Four -
The Reveal / Design appointment
When the session has finished, I will select the very best portraits.
Next, I will carefully hand-edit the chosen images.
Approximately 2-3 weeks after your session I invite my clients to come to my home office for your reveal, design, and ordering appointment.
You will view a slideshow of your finished gallery in a cinematic experience that is really special and enjoyable.
This is where you choose your favorite photos, and we design your finished artwork.
For examples of my products and packages see Investment A full product and pricing guide will be sent home with you at the end of your session. Most families spend between $750- $1495. I offer payment plans, and credit card facilites.
Step Five - Collection
How exciting ... your beautiful artwork is ready to take home and display.
If you purchased digital photos they are available for download within hours of full payment at your design appointment. The online gallery and slideshow remains active for three months. So you can show friends and family on your phone.
Allow approx 4-6 weeks for your artwork to be ready. Usually a little quicker however since covid some products take a little longer.
Families often send me photos of their art work displayed in their homes, which I love. They tell me how their little ones look at the albums everyday. Studying every photo closely. It's heartwarming...
